I OPENING REMARKS/REVIEW OF MINUTES/APPROVAL:
OPENING: Bob opened the meeting at 7:30 pm.
REVIEW OF MINUTES: Andy said the Minutes for the 12/08/09 Board Meeting were e-mail to all the Board Members and said he received two comments. “Motion made to approve the 12/08/09 Minutes as revised.” Motion passed 5-0-0.
PRESIDENT’S REMARKS:
SEA NETTLE NET: Bob asked the Board for a date when the Sea Nettle Net will be placed in the River.
NEWSLETTER: Bob said the Newsletter will now be published every 2 months as decided by the Board. He said he wants the next one for the beginning of February.
DUES: Bob said all the Annual Dues bills have been mailed out.
POOL ID CARD SUPPLIES: Courtney said she will have the Pool ID supplies purchased soon.
BAY CITY GUESTS: Bob welcomed Ann Sommerfel and Ben Porter of the Bay City Community Board of Directors. Bob introduced the CPOA Board Members and they described their duties and responsibilities to the Bay City Guests. Ann and Ben were interested in how our Board and Membership manage Cloverfields because they have heard so many good things about us. They also stated that their Community is interested in building a Community Pool Facility in Bay City and asked the Board on how our operation works. Bob and Courtney described it to them, and gave them copies of our Community Covenants, By-Laws, Rules and CRC procedures. They asked if they can keep in contact with us for advice, and the Board said yes.
II OLD BUSINESS:
None.
III OFFICER/COMMITTEE REPORTS:
1. 1st Vice President: Robert not present, no report.
2. 2nd Vice President: POOL: Courtney said Cal Pools wants to charge us $75 to check the Pool’s water level. She said she will check to see if it is already covered under the contract.
3. Treasurer: Karen handed out Financial Statements ending 12/31/09. The Board reviewed the numbers.
4. Financial Recorder: Lisa said all the bills have been mailed out, and the parking stickers are red this year. Dues collection in the Clubhouse will be on the following dates: 2/13/10 from 10:00 am to noon; 2/24/10 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm; 2/27/10 from 10:00 am to noon.
5. Corresponding Secretary: Meg said she may install the new swing for the Playground sometime this week. She said she will start looking into new equipment to replace the spinning piece.
6. Member-At-Large I: CRIMEWATCH: Russ said other than a couple of vehicle break-ins, it has been fairly peaceful in Cloverfields.
7. Member-At-Large II: Jim present, no report.
8. Member-At-Large III: Jay present, no report.
9. Member-At-Large IV: Terry not present, no report.
10. CLUBHOUSE: Andy said the termite eradication on the Clubhouse has been completed. He said if he can’t get volunteers to help him replace the lights in the Big Room, he will get a proposal from an electrician to replace them.
IV NEW BUSINESS:
MARINA COMMITTEE: Diane said that the boat ramp stickers are in. Her phone number is on the front door of the Clubhouse if anyone who has paid their dues wants ramp stickers or slip info.
V ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm.
